Africa Film for Impact Festival

Africa Film For Impact Festival (AFFIF) is a film festival dedicated to showcasing, celebrating, and empowering films and filmmakers committed to social change themes in movie production across the African continent.

The Film Festival which will screen selected films with purpose and discussions on social change through films over a 3 day period, will also host filmmaking workshops, a Pitching Session with donors, and climax with an Impact Award Nite. Stakeholders in both filmmaking and the social change sector are a major audience for this festival. The maiden edition of the festival is scheduled for May 28th – 30th, 2020.

CONCLUSION

Film is much more than simple entertainment; film has the capacity to change the world. Hence, we seek to raise a generation of filmmakers with an understanding that film is an ideal catalyst for change. Through a combination of quality training and mentorship, the vision of these trail blazers will shape thought-provoking Short & feature Films such as the African Film Industry is yet to experience. This is what HDFA seeks to achieve through her Script to Screen Africa Filmmaking Reality TV project, and we welcome you to be a part of this history making project.
